The Offices of Alumni Engagement and Athletics have teamed up to present Coffee with the Coaches, a series of Zoom panels that give alumni, fans and parents an inside look at how our athletic teams are doing during this unprecedented time.
Grab a cup of coffee and join Doug Monson, assistant director of athletics, on Friday, October 16th, for the first Coffee with the Coaches, a conversation with Head Football Coach Eli Gardner and two student athletes.
Gardner, the 2019 D2Football.com NE10 Coach of the Year, is in his fifth season as head coach of the football program – his 12th season at Stonehill overall after being named the program’s seventh head coach in its varsity era following seven years as an assistant coach. Gardner has led the Skyhawks to 19 wins over his first four seasons at the helm, including a pair of 6-4 seasons in 2017 and 2019, finishing a game out of first place in the NE10 last fall. He was selected to participate in the 2018 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute at the 2018 AFCA Convention and was also named the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston’s 2015 Division II Assistant Coach of the Year during his time as Stonehill’s Defensive Coordinator under coach Robert Talley.
Gardner is a 2008 graduate of Western New England University, where he also got his start in coaching after a four-year playing career, serving as captain his senior year.
This event will be hosted via Zoom on Friday, October 16th at 12:00 p.m. EDT. Zoom instructions will be provided in your registration confirmation email.
